Niepoort

In a decade, Niepoort have gone from being rated as the best kept secret in the port world to one of worst kept secrets.  But the House remains independent, run by 5th generation borther and sister Dirk and Verena Niepoort, and fourth generation cellar master (with a fifth wainting, not too patiently, in the wings).  The team is now even stronger, with the additon of Nick Delaforce, but the principles remain true to their founding (1842) times.  So, no other House still treads and ferments in granite such a high proportion of their harvest, and we know of no other House who filters nothing.  (Visitor to Dirk, I can see some filter plates over there, but you said you don't filter?  Dirk to visitor, Ah yes, we introduced them in 1974.  And ...?  And we stopped in 1975).
