New Zealand
Unlike some Australian wine-producing regions, New Zealand has deliberately kept its wine production relatively small-scale. As a result, it continues to offer quality. We are proud to have been associated with Jane Hunter's Marlborough wines since the early days of our business, when she, too, was just starting out (Hunter's Wines was established in 1983). A pioneer of the Sauvignon Blanc grape, Jane is now acknowledged as a leading light of the New Zealand wine industry. We recently stumbled across a bottle of her 2000 Vintage Chardonnay in our personal cellar; a bottle that had somehow become misplaced. The cork was pulled and the wine drank like a dream. Now we wish we had mislaid a few more!
