On the hunt for something outside the Eurozone, we were not sure what to expect from this eastern European country but we went with an open mind. And we were rewarded. We found a clever little Pinot Grigio that offers a crackingly good alternative to the better-known Pinot Grigios of Italy or Pinot Blancs of Alsace - and a good third or so cheaper. We also found a fresh little Chardonnay and have high hopes of sourcing some well-priced and rewarding reds.
